In an orthotopic mouse model experiment, crizotinib was found to increase the concentration of gemcitabine in blood and tissues, reduce sizes of tumors, inhibit peritoneal dissemination of highly Met-expressing pancreatic cancer, and prolong survival ( in vitro experiment showed that crizotinib can be used to treat peritoneal spread of pancreatic cancer based on inhibition of cell proliferation and metastasis mediated by phosphorylation of the c-Met pathway (Takiguchi et al., 2017)
